THE COST OF NEGLECT
When it comes to student achievement, the education system in Venezuela is lacking. There is currently a deficit of nearly 5,000 schools across the country, many schools are falling apart and lacking in staff, the areas are unsafe and many students do not want to risk the danger of walking to school. This hypothetical scenario predicts how the education system in Venezuela could have been improved if the 82 billion dollars that President Chavez gifted to other countries had been invested in Venezuela's youth instead.
